Application Developer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reporting to the IT Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Application Developer include:
• Working with an agile team to develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based multi-platform business applications levereging on Open Source technologies.
• Assisting in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.
• Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
• Participating in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
• Package and support deployment of releases.
• Working with teammates in the migration of older applications (VB.NET) to current Python stack.
• Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between existing and 3rd-Party devices/applications.
• Writing detailed documentation for the operation of the application by users and operators.
• Analyzing and resolving technical and application problems.
• Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
• Providing third-level support to business users.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum Requirements
• College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline/equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong desire to learn
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
Core Competency Requirements
• Solid understanding of object oriented programming concepts
• Solid understanding of relational database design and querying concepts
• Familiarity with version control concepts
Preferred Competency Requirements
• Exposure to Python/Django development framework
• Exposure to web development using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
• Exposure to Microsoft .NET Framework
• Knowledge of client/server application development
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of unit testing theory
• Good oral and written English communication skills
Marketing Staff
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent.
- Experienced in creating, managing and executing online marketing campaigns is a must.
- At least with work experience in marketing.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
- With interest to social media marketing and other online marketing job.
- Pro-active, Flexible, responsible and Adaptive
- Can perform with minimum supervision
- With a strong working knowledge and skills of computer software applications (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Movie Maker and Photoshop) is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving, Decision-Making, Analytical and interpersonal skills.
